Why this site exists
The EV charging industry is full of jargon, sales pressure, and outdated information. When we set out to research our own charging setup, we kept hitting the same wall: guides written by manufacturers who wanted to sell us equipment, reviews funded by affiliate commissions, and articles that hadn't been updated since 2022.
We built EV Charging Help to fix that. Every guide is researched independently, written for the person making the decision — not the one selling the equipment — and updated as the landscape changes.
How we work
We research before we write. That means reading primary sources, talking to installers, and checking incentive databases directly rather than copying other websites. When we link to an incentive program, we verify the program is still active and the amounts are current.
Our editorial content is written and edited by people with genuine experience in EV ownership, installation, and commercial infrastructure. We're editorially independent — advertisers and sponsors do not influence what we say. If we're sponsored, we disclose it clearly.
When information changes — an incentive expires, a rebate amount changes, a regulation updates — we update the affected article and note the revision date.
Who's behind this
EV Charging Help was started by a small team who got frustrated doing their own research and decided to build the resource they wished had existed. We're based in the US and focused on the US market. We don't take VC funding, and we're not affiliated with any manufacturer, installer, utility, or charging network.
